Porcelain Bridge Also known as “fixed bridges”, are the union of 2 or more crowns to close spaces between one or more missing teeth . This procedure restores your bite and helps keep the natural shape of your face.

A missing tooth is a serious matter. Teeth are made to work together. When you lose a tooth, the bone may shrink and the nearby teeth may tilt or drift into the empty space. The teeth in the opposite jaw may also shift up or down toward the space.
This can affect your bite and place more stress on your teeth and jaw joints, possibly causing pain. Also, put them at a higher risk for tooth decay and gum disease.

These are some of the indications for making an individual Porcelain Crown or Porcelain Bridge:

• Improving a tooth’s appearance (repairing small cracks and chips in your teeth or even designing a New Smile Makeover)
• Restoring or making changes with a tooth’s shape (filling unsightly gaps and spaces between your teeth)
• Reinforcing a structurally compromised tooth (broken, extensive decay or have had root canal treatment).

We require ONLY 2 appointments to the final placement of a natural-looking white new dental crown in your mouth.

At Unidental, your dental bridge isn’t noticeable. Will be made to match your other teeth exactly, and usually takes ONLY 2 visits to be completed.
• On the first visit, the tooth surface is prepared and a model is taken. Temporaries will be placed while your case is crafted by a dental ceramist.
• At the second visit your Porcelain Crown is seated.

Does a Porcelain Crown/Dental Bridge seem fake?

Can be made a Porcelain Crown / Dental Bridge in a single visit at Unidental?

YES, in fact, if you require an Express Service, we could have it ready the next day! (At extra cost). However, to ensure the best quality, our best recommendation is perform it in 2 single visits, with a spare time of less than a week between them.

Does my Dental Insurance cover this procedure?

Under the right circumstances, these procedures are accepted under most dental insurances coverage. Here some exclusions: No coverage for crowns that purely are placed just for cosmetic purposes, only those affected by an extensive tooth decay. Replacements are not covered in crowns less than 5years old. In the case of dental bridges, replacement of tooth extracted outside the coverage of the policy will not be covered. In Unidental, most of US Dental Insurances are accepted (we do not accept Medicaid or CHIP). We process the entire claim paperwork and submit the pre-estimate form. My tooth has a full destruction. It can be restored anyway?

Even when the clinical crown of a tooth has been mostly destroyed, under certain conditions, it could be rehabilitated. A root canal and a post and core may be needed. At Unidental, we have the equipment, facilities and specialists needed to provide you with the best quality service.

How long will my Porcelain Crown / Dental Bridge last?

Porcelain Crowns are remarkably durable, maintaining their shape and function for many years. Typically, porcelain crowns tend to last between 5 and 15 years, with some crowns even lasting up to 25 or 30 years. It’s a big range, mostly depending on the patient’s dental hygiene and habits.
