Unidental has been certified as an establishment capable of reopening and operating by correctly complying with preventive safety and hygiene recommendations. See certificate.

Given the health contingency caused by the COVID-19 virus, we have established at Unidental rigorous Health Protection Protocols on patient management for before, during, and after dental appointments, thus guaranteeing their safety and ours.

01

Each patient is questioned at least 1 day before the scheduled appointment in regards to their current health status.

02

The use of a face mask is mandatory at all times while they remain on the premises.

03

We have established a sanitary filter at the entrance of the clinic to evaluate the patients temperature. They must apply antibacterial gel and disinfect their shoes as well.

04

We limit the number of people who accompany a patient to the appointment. If possible, the patient should make the visit alone.

05

We have removed items from the office waiting rooms, such as toys or reading materials, to limit potential transmission through high contact surfaces.

06

We encourage social distancing practices by minimizing the number of patients in the waiting room, carefully arranging appointments, and asking them to wait in their car until dental staff is ready to treat the patient.

07

All of our staff members own personal protective equipment (PPE), such as surgical masks, N95 masks, or full face shields, to ensure the safest and healthiest environment possible for patients and dental equipment.

08

We placed hand sanitizer gel around the office for your use.

09

We implemented strict cleaning procedures to disinfect the surfaces of our facilities and prevent the spread of COVID-19.

Instrument sterilization protocol.

In accordance with the recommendations of the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention, our clinic sterilizes all instruments that penetrate or come in contact with a patients oral tissues.

Our sterilization equipment includes steam heat and dry heat autoclaves at high temperatures, subjecting repeated instrument sterilization cycles as required.

All doctors and dental assistants must wear new gloves for each patient, as well as a face mask and gown.

Between patients, dental equipment is disinfected on all surfaces they may touch during treatment, eliminating the possibility of cross contamination of germs from a contaminated surface to the patient.

Most surfaces, such as lightweight handles, tubes, and dental chair controls, are covered with a plastic barrier film that keeps the surface underneath free of contamination. This removes and discards the barrier, thus placing a new clean barrier on the surface to the next patient.
